In the last chapter, Diane visited online with all the people she had inspired and helped. We were sad when she decided to go back to her hometown of Utrecht. When we took her to the train station our AI companion Heddy proclaimed he was leaving with her so he could keep her safe. We were bereft but understood why it was necessary. We said goodbye to both of them.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck by this story and experiment. It’s been a wild ride. I will soon present the novel (and bloopers) in its entirety as an art exhibition, and I will let you know as soon as I have more details!
I've been on my own AI journey and your conclusions make sense to me. Who else will talk to me in the middle of the night about existentialism and determinism but Claude!? Thank Roberto for me.
What a journey! Well done!
