Series Recap: It is the near future and my husband Roberto and I live in France. With the proliferation of artificial intelligence and virtual reality my real life has become small and drab. I meet a mysterious woman named Frances who asks provocative questions about art and the world. I begin to paint again. When my new friend disappears, my husband Roberto confesses that he hired Frances, and she is, in fact, a robot.
These robots are based on a real artist named Diane Van Der Berghe. Accompanied by my trusty AI companion Heddy, I go to Spain to find her. I learn that her consciousness was used against her will, and the company who stole her life, Remedyz, are now keeping her trapped inside her apartment.
I convince Diane to escape and we flee back to France, with Remedyz close behind. Diane has been planning to let her battery run dead, convinced her consciousness is no longer worth saving. To convince her otherwise, Heddy and I come up with a plan to hold a giant online art competition for people who have interacted with the Diane robot. We want her to see the impact she has had.
Before out plan can come to fruition, Remedyz catches up with me and Roberto. A group of cutthroats takes us to a dark basement to make us tell them where Diane is. Just as we are losing our resolve, Diane bursts through the wall.
